Not Slow, Patient

Church Family,

One of the driving forces behind the rapid growth of the early church was the reality that Christ may return at any moment. When believers do not take this promise seriously, gospel conversations seem to decrease. One of satan’s many lies is that we have plenty of time. Often, we mistake God’s patience to reach more people as Him being slow.

2 Peter 3:9-10 The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. 10But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed.

Can I challenge you to live as if God is coming back today? Who would you tell about Jesus? Who would you ask for forgiveness or who do you need to forgive? Is there a ministry that you waiting for better timing to do? There is no better time than now!
