Refereeing Presents

Church Family,

The day after Christmas or the day of great refereeing as parents. The Day where every child wants what the other has and wonders why they didn’t get the same thing. Oh, and they still want everything they have without sharing. Sound about right?

Genesis 13:8 Then Abram said to Lot, “Let there be no strife between you and me, and between your herdsmen and my herdsmen, for we are kinsmen

Anytime God blesses there is going to be strife. As believers we must handle conflict correctly.

1) Abraham admitted there was a problem.

2) Abraham dealt with it directly and didn’t hope that it just went away

3) He trusted God and gave Lott the first choice, knowing God is in control.

4) Lott the believer, had his eyes on the earth. His family all failed to serve and worship God. His city was destroyed, wife died instantly, and children all turned wicked.

5) How we handle conflict directs our families to God or away from God.

Reminders
1) Prayer meeting tonight at 7pm.

Love, Serve, Go
