Eternity in our Hearts

Church Family,

We broke the 1100 mark for those Invited to our church since April. Take a moment and pray for those that have been Invited and for those who will be Invited this week. Speaking of Inviting, I've had a lot of good and hard questions about why we should Invite people. Some have wondered why we are Inviting others? Some have asked what good it does? Others have asked what results do we expect or when will we see results? I've even been asked what we are going to do with the people when they show up?

My Devotions this morning led me to Ecclesiastes 3:11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man’s heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.

I could answer the questions above but instead let me refer you to this verse. God has put Eternity into every person's heart. In other words, no one living lacks a place where God belongs in them. So why do we reject God then? Acts 28:26-27 may help explain it. Our hearts are hard. We fill our lives with Sin and Darkness. When the Light shines into it, we love the darkness rather than the light.

What does this have to do with Inviting? Even the believer can be tempted to love the darkness over the light. Even the believer can reject God's command to Go for a season. No real believer can reject His command forever. (find the biblical believer that never shares their faith?) We Invite because God commanded us to Go. We Invite because God has put Eternity into every man's heart. We only hope that God will use us to show that to others.

Today you are being prayed for!

1) Invite people to the Family Fun Night this coming Weds July 19th at 6pm. Remember to bring a bathing suit and towel.

2) In the coming weeks you will hear a lot about our new Sunday Night Classes. Be sure to take advantage of these. Our first 2 classes will be: Sunday School Done Right and the other Prayer.

3) Softball game tonight and Tuesday at 6pm.

4) Take a moment and think of how much God loves you.

Love, Serve, Go
