History Repeating Itself

Church Family,

We are excited about the Prayer Meeting tonight at 7pm. We look forward to worshipping with you.

History repeating itself.

Genesis 26:8-9 When he had been there a long time, Abimelech king of the Philistines looked out of a window and saw Isaac laughing with Rebekah his wife. 9So Abimelech called Isaac and said, “Behold, she is your wife. How then could you say, ‘She is my sister’?” Isaac said to him, “Because I thought, ‘Lest I die because of her.’”

Generational sin- Abraham, Isaac’s father did the same thing. This is a warning that we must be careful not to pass on our sins to our children. Let me be clear, Isaac made the choice to sin. No matter what our parents do, we are responsible for our own choices. As parents though, let us be careful not to present sin as an option.

Doubting God- Like Father, like son, they both trusted that LIES were more powerful than God. They believed that they knew more and were stronger than God.

We must be careful not to pass on sin and our “wisdom” to future generations. If not, History will repeat itself.

Reminders:

1) Saturday the Seniors are going out to Adam’s seafood at 5:30.

Love, Serve, Go
